Mary's boy child Jesus Christ was born on Christmas Day 
And man will live for evermore because of Christmas Day.

Long time ago in Bethlehem so the Holy Bible says

Mary's boy child Jesus Christ was born on Christmas Day

Hark now hear the angels sing a new King's born to-day

While Shepherds watched their flock by night they see a bright new star

Then hear a choir of angels sing music seems to come from a far

Now Joseph and his wife Mary come to Bethlehem that night

They find no place to lay the child not a single room was in sight

By and by they find a little nook in a stable so for-lorn

In a manger there so cold and dark Mary's little Boy was born

 D  For a moment all the  G  world was aglow.
  A  All the bells rang out,  D  there were tears of joy and laughter.
People  G  shouted "Let every A  one " know,
There is  D  hope to find peace.

 D  Oh my Lord, you sent your son to save us.
 D  Oh my Lord, your very self you gave us.
 A  Oh my Lord, that sin may not enclave us
 D  And love may reign once more.

 D  Oh my Lord, when in the crib they found him.
 D  Oh my Lord, a golden halo crowned him.
 A  They gathered all around him
 D  To see him and adore.

 D  Oh my Lord, With the child's adoration,
 D  Oh my Lord, There came great jubilation
 A  Oh my Lord, And full of admiration,
 D  They realized what they had.

 D  Oh my Lord, They had become to doubt you
 D  Oh my Lord, What did they know about you 
 A  Oh my Lord, But they were lost without you 
 D  They needed you so bad.
