Change Our Day 


I'm sitting here on this lake getting ready to cast my line. 
I've got cold beer in the cooler and the sun has just started to shine. 
It's a real calm morning, not a ripple, the lake is like a sheet of glass. 
If I get lucky before the day is done, I might even catch a bass. 

I took time off from my work, called in sick today. 
My boss would surely tell me, that's not the proper way. 
But every once in a while you have to get away from the grind, 
You have to forget about the job and work, just leave it all behind. 

Most of the people in this world work from 8 to 5.
They get stuck in a routine, not really feeling alive. 
Doing the same thing everyday can put you in a rut. 
Once in a while change our day, just try to mix things up. 

 A stay home mom works real hard from morning until night,
Preparing meals, washing laundry and keeping her kids in sight. 
You'd think there's times she'd want to change her day and have an outside job, 
But then the kids tell her how great she is and give her a hug  and nod.

Most of the people in this world work from 8 to 5.
They get stuck in a routine, not really feeling alive. 
Doing the same thing everyday can put you in a rut. 
Once in a while change our day, just try to mix things up.
